A story taking place in a village’s ruins, Juniper’s Knot details the meeting of a boy and a demon and is told from both of their perspectives.
An incredibly well-designed game, if a bit short. There isn’t an aspect of it that isn’t specifically designed for the game, which is really surprising for a Ren’Py project. The dialogue is fantastic as well, and it does a great job at illustrating the time period.
It is a kinetic novel, so don’t go in expecting much interaction, but it is definitely worth a download just for how gorgeous the menu screen is. Plus, it’s free!

Among the Sleep
Those fans of survival horror, Among the Sleep is definitely a game to keep your eyes on, especially since it will be like nothing one has played before. After all, the protagonist is a two year old child with his little teddy bear.
Description from Krillbite Studios’
Among The Sleep invites you into the mind and body of a two year old child. After being put to bed one evening, mysterious things start to happen.
Being played in first person, the game let its players immerse themselves in a child’s limitless imagination. This is a perspective we all have a distant familiarity with, but few can clearly remember what it felt like.
In the borderland between dream and reality, surreal creatures and diverse environments will present you with both physical and mental obstacles that challenge your creativity.
Among The Sleep is set for release on PC & MAC next year.
While I can’t normally handle horror games, I think I’ll play this one for sure anyway.

Thank you for linking me to this.It seems the day has finally come! Today, you’ve received a new video game! How exciting! You’ve been waiting quite some time for the release…doesn’t it look familiar? You could swear you’ve seen this game somewhere before a long time ago. You were just a child, weren’t you? You figure it’s just deja-vu. You’ve obviously never played this before.
Obviously.
The start screen is up and waiting for you to begin, so let’s not keep it waiting, shall we?

So, if you haven’t played Space Funeral, you really should. It’s a bizarre RPG about Phillip (Distorted fat guy in pajamas that’s continuously crying) and his partner, Leg Horse (a creature with four legs and a flailing stump where his head seemingly used to be), who explore the land of Space Funeral to try and figure out the mystery behind the “errors” that keep appearing.
To all my friends who enjoy being genuinely unnerved by things while having a few chuckles here and there, I highly recommend Space Funeral. It’s a freeware RPG Maker 2003 game which can be downloaded here. It took me about an hour/hour and a half to complete, so it won’t take up too much of your time.

WOW ALSO
WHEN PEOPLE SAY ‘YOUR TALENT IS WASTED ON _____’ I WANT TO PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE I’M SORRY I DO I JUST
WOW now that you all know my opinions on ‘talent’ I hope you realize where I’m coming from when I say I have EARNED the right to draw sparkledogs and ponies if I damn well want to ?!? If you put that much work into your art you have every goddamn right to draw whatever it is that makes you happy because a) you earned it and b) unless you are doing art professionally, it doesn’t MATTER if anybody else likes your art? If you made it this far it’s because you enjoyed it and doing it makes you happy, despite how hellish it can be, and nobody ever has the right to take the joy out of it for you
Don’t ever let somebody try to take your passion away
perfect post.

Do you think there is such a thing as being born with a talent or ‘natural ability’ for art, music, etcetc?
yesyesyesyesyes i agree totally.
ugh our society seems to have a hard time accepting that hard work exists and contributes to the output! especially with art; people just take art as something magiced up by the artist and it is so infuriating because then no one takes it seriously.
